A side of the film industry most people never see.

Reader Poll

We’re going to get killed on this movie. We’re seriously undermanned, and I can predict that I’m going to be brain-dead more often than not for the next few weeks..

I usually try to make sure the entries on the blog are at least written decently, but it’s not an easy thing to pull off while my brain has given me the finger.

So, here’s the question:

Do you want me to post something semi-incoherent (see the previous entry) every day, or do you want me to post once a week (I’ll take notes every day and then polish the posts and publish on the weekends – still a post a day but not published until the weekend)?

You tell me.

    Incoherent is more fun!

  2. Which one is easier for you? I’d go with that one, although I’d suggest the option of taking notes (perhaps as drafts) and then refine them in the weekend.

  3. Rarity says:

I’m with Neil – I’m quite new on your blog, but I’d be sorry to only get it on weekends.

But with those long hours, I know I wouldn’t be able to post much, myself…

Do you really want to spend your weekends…polishing? Although
incoherent will lose some of your great language, it will give a sense
of what the gig is like…

  5. Roscoe says:

I vote that you post regularly and don’t worry about the patina. I have a feeling that the quality of your incoherency will be far better than most bloggers’ serious work. Fatigue can be fun. Laugh with the keyboard until the keyboard starts laughing at you.

  6. John Doom says:

I’m going to have to go with popular opinion on this one. You post, we’ll decipher.

  7. Steph says:

I’m going to chime in and say– incoherent will be fine… but really, its not about us, its about what you think you can handle. If trying to post everyday is wiping you out even more… I’ll understand if you just post on weekends! :)

  8. i read these first thing in the morning when i’m incoherent so it should work out perfectly!

  9. Bruce says:

    something is better than nothing….
    ditto vancouverite

I agree with most of the above – whichever is easiest. If blogging becomes a pain to do, then it’s easy to drop it :(

  11. I vote for incoherent too.

  12. Lisa Cockerham says:

I’m sure your comments will be much more coherant than you imagine. I vote for incoherant, but also don’t kill yourself to post. We’d miss you, but if its too much, we understand.

Love the blog, btw. Glad I found it!

    frequent incoherence > periodic polish

Best when freshest, so incoherent gets my vote

  15. Grubber says:

Your blog your choice. Don’t knock yourself out just to amuse us. Get some sleep instead, and update at end of week, or whenever you can. I will keep coming back regardless.

    Best of luck

  16. Jan says:

I’m with the “your choice” group. Love your blog.

  17. If you post daily then you can relax on the weekends, you write well enought we knowed whate yer say.

When possible, I rough it in my head during all that ‘waiting.’ Unfortunately low budget junk (the sort you get paid $10/hour, not $10 below scale) doesn’t have much waiting- you always have a production mistake to make up for so you can at least get 70% of your 3 page goal for the 14 hour day.
I would say to post entries as often as you enjoy it, if it becomes too much of a chore you won’t do it and all these blog addicts of yours will riot.
