Totally Unauthorized

A side of the film industry most people never see.

It’s 7 am and it’s 80 degrees.

I’m off this week (crew downsize, but they’ll be picking up again next week), and of course it’s now hotter than the surface of the sun in Los Angeles. Yesterday, it was 99 degrees, and today it’s supposed to be over 100.

The local news-bots are reporting that the heat’s supposed to break towards the end of the week, which is good (so I won’t melt into a puddle when I’m supposed to be working), except that I’m sitting here at home sweltering.

Since I’m supposed to be working on a script right now, my plan is to find some cafe with both wi-fi and air conditioning, keep the iced tea coming and try to stay out of the hottest part of the day.

Hotter than Hades, and where am I going today? The New and Improved Griffith Park Observatory. Hope they have AC. Think Cool Thoughts!

I just went outside and boy was I glad I was in a tank top. I need some decent shorts to wear outside. That’s what I’ll do next time I hit the Promenade. Girl, drink lots of Gatorade.
