Totally Unauthorized

A side of the film industry most people never see.

Did the earth move for you too, baby?

Since it’s late, I’m wiped out and I’ve got to get to bed soon (have to wake up at 4:30 am), I’ll keep this short:

Earthquake? No big deal.

No damage to the house – nothing even fell off the shelves. It made our lunch hour more exciting, but that was about it.

I’m off to fight for that precious six hours of sleep that I’ll be lucky to get.

  1. Glad you’re okay. I was thinking about you.

Yay for getting up at 4:30. Means work. TV or film?

Peggy sez: It’s a Michael Bay movie, so I’m hesitant to call it a film.

Thanks for checking in and letting us know you’re okay. (I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing all my LA contacts are accounted for now! :) )

We had one here a couple of months ago. Made me sit bolt upright in bed in the middle of the night (I thought there was a monster underneath), but most people at work slept through it! LOL

So I’m at a Santa Monica car wash, sitting outside in one of those horrid wicker chairs, and then I feel this strong gust of wind. I thought I was sitting too close to the air vents they use to dry off the cars, but I noticed that my chair moved a tad too much for that. It was over in a second. The lady across from us yelled, “Was that an Earthquake!?” She said she was from New York and then proceeded to call her contacts on the phone. The guys drying off the cars, didn’t move an inch.

Given that it was a fairly decent shaker, is it weird that I was actually a little disappointed to come home and find out that nothing happened? Not even a spice jar fell off the shelf or anything!

  6. Chris says:

Happy to hear that Shia’s auto acrobatics aren’t affecting work. (we got a nice shake in Sylmar) Does this mean work in Playa continues?

  7. meg says:

Screaming directors, drunken actors, getting up at 4:30 am. Hooray for Hollywood!
